Make three columns before researching
On paper, create columns for observed, imagined, and verified. Choose a simple subject such as a mechanical pencil. In observed, record features you can actually see, like the outer barrel and button. In imagined, sketch a possible internal arrangement or describe what a generated cutaway depicts. Leave verified empty for now. Keeping these categories separate prevents a confident-looking spring or connector in an illustration from quietly becoming something you claim to know about that exact object.
Find a reference that answers one question
Ask a narrow question, such as how pressing the button advances the lead. Consult the manufacturer’s explanation or another appropriate primary teaching reference for the mechanism. Record the source and whether it describes your exact model or only a general principle. Add supported points to verified, and mark remaining questions as unresolved. If the illustration disagrees with the reference, correct your notes rather than forcing the reference to fit the picture. You can do this entire exercise without purchasing an app.
Turn the comparison into your own explanation
Close the image and explain the mechanism in a few sentences using only your verified notes. Then draw a simple diagram that supports those sentences, leaving uncertain parts out or marking them clearly. If you share the original generated image, identify it as imagined and explain one difference you found. A useful study outcome is a sharper question or a corrected assumption, not a more realistic-looking rendering. RayAI can provide a creative prompt for this process, but its output does not establish the real structure of an object.
Take it with you
- Separate observed, imagined, and verified notes.
- Match each factual claim to a suitable reference.
- Explain from evidence, not visual confidence.

Imagined interiors, generated from photos
RayAI creates imaginary AI cutaway art. It is not a real X-ray, diagnostic tool, physical inspection, or way to establish an object’s condition or safety. Generated interiors may be inaccurate. Premium access may require a subscription; review current purchase and renewal terms.
